![]() I chose to use NFS for my setup for a few reasons. This has been the Unix way of sharing filesystems with other computers. AFP is also much more proprietary and requires a bit of maneuvering to support it on a Linux server. It is still the “native” file sharing protocol in Mac OS, but Macs also speak NFS natively. Macs didn’t do SMB/CIFS and Windows computers didn’t do AFP and that was that.
